Jacob Lake AZ, revisited

We left Lake Powell and finished the drive back to Jacob Lake, near the north rim of the Grand Canyon… again! You might recall we were here 20-22 June but because of the high fire danger in the forest, they closed it and kicked us out. Well, we’re back. Finally.

This is perhaps our most favorite place to camp within a reasonable drive of Las Vegas, we’re 220 miles from home.

We’ve got a really nice spot. In fact when we were here last month we looked around and were planning to move to this area before being kicked out of the forest. We can still hear other people… road noises or cars driving down a nearby dirt road. But we can’t see anyone, and that makes me happy.

Some pictures of our drive here and our new spot.
