I have finished teaching for the summer. It was a blast. I started off with 15 students and we lost two of them. One never showed up and the other was kicked out for fighting. It was an interesting time to say the very least. Some of these kids not only have trouble with school academically but also socially. Sometimes I felt like I was a referee not a teacher. Melanie even came in to volunteer one time and at the end of the day said. Whoa, mom this is cool. You had wrestling and boxing all in one day. It was a challenge for me as a teacher and gave me a chance to work on my management skills. It was a good experience and I had so much fun, I can’t believe they pay me to do this job. 🙂
Now I can look forward to summer. I have not really had time off in a long time. The first thing I did this morning was finish my Zelda game I started back in December and had to stop in Janurary to start school again. I’m glad summer has finally began for me. Poor Heather still has one more week of school.
