We all hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! We had a wonderful family time doing very little except what we felt like doing. Scott cleaned his garage; I baked a pudding cake for Daisy’s birthday. Heather and Melanie read books all day. Nicholas of course roamed the neighborhood playing with friends. All in all it was a good day. Scott also took Nicholas for a 5 mile bike ride in the woods. From the looks of them when they returned they had a great time all covered in mud and sweat.
To end the day we went to Larimore Dam to watch the local fireworks show. We remembered some of out favorite fireworks shows over the years, from under the St. Louis Arch, to in the park in the convertible in Oklahoma; and how we didn’t have fireworks in Alaska. We all agree small town fireworks are by far our favorite to watch.
