Damn it’s cold here!

Blizzard Ava slips into area

Herald Staff and Wire Report – 02/10/2008
No travel was advised all day Saturday in Grand Forks County and surrounding areas, as a blizzard warning affected the entire region.

The Herald named the blizzard Ava, after an online vote by readers late last year.

The warning was in effect until 6 p.m. Saturday for all of eastern North Dakota and most of northwestern Minnesota, according to the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks.

Counties farther east in Minnesota that didn’t fall under the blizzard warning were under a winter weather advisory at the same time.

A wind chill warning in the wake of the storm is in effect for eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota until noon today, with wind chill values as low as 40 to 55 degrees below zero expected, said the weather service. Wind chills that low can cause frostbite on exposed skin in less than 10 minutes.

  1. Sorry guys. I know it’s cold there, and I feel bad. But it’s warm here and I feel glad. … errrrr….. I mean sad, yeah, sad. I sure miss you and the snow and the ice and the wind and the freeze your ass off just looking out the window weather.

    yeah.

  2. I’m sure you do….I bet you miss the shoveling especially when you throw the snow up on the pile and the wind is blowing so hard that it just blows it all right back in your face.

Forgive me if I don’t believe you miss it.
