Red Rock Canyon, NV

Yesterday I visited Red Rock Canyon. It is operated by the BLM, the Bureau of Land Management.

The beauty of this place is they have real hiking trails. I don’t mean a mile or two of places to walk, I mean real hiking trails! 🙂

 can you tell I’m excited?

There are 20 or more hiking trails with the total distance over 50 miles. There are over 2,000 climbing routes, which makes it one of the top 5 climbing destinations in the country. There are wild burros, which I did not see, and maybe even some wild horses and some mountain goats, shich I did not see either.

But I did see over 6 miles of trail and from the photo gallery (link below) you can tell they weren’t all flat or downhill, either! 🙂

Boy I’m stiff and sore and happy today! Man I like having a place to hike.

Ok…  again I’m not posting pics here so I don’t polute the site, but these are small pictures and there are only like a dozen or so, so it will load pretty quickly for you.
