HEATHER!!!!!
I hope everyone had a great weekend.
We went to the California Coast for Heather’s 18th Birthday.
It was a great time. We left here around 0730 and arrived at the beach around 1pm. We swam until it was time to go to the motel to get ready for dinner. Heather picked a wonderful fish place with outdoor tables and wonderful food.
The next day we woke up and went for another swim and a walk on the beach, only to return to motel just long enough to pack up and check out by noon.
We survived the California freeways, nearly (narrowly) avoiding an accident on the 101. Thanks to Scott’s quick thinking and fast responses. All I saw was a big semi- coming into our lane to avoid the accident in front of him. I still can’t believe we made it out alive. I kinda felt like Lighting McQueen in Cars as he passed through an accident. It was pretty exciting.
Anyway, it was a great weekend. I know Scott took pictures, now we just have to get them posted.

We didn’t nearly avoid an accident, we narrowly avoided an accident. We weren’t hit.
narrowly is right! some green ford taurus lost control at about 70 and literally started spinning on the freeway. I was looking ahead 3 cars in front of me and saw her go sideways across the highway, backwards. I was staring straight at her when she was backwards and could look in her front windshield.
