Well spring came in with a whimper in Las Vegas. Last week high 70’s, this weekend high 50’s. It’s ok though… Summer will be here soon enough and you’ll hear me bitching about the heat.
Around here you’ll find Melanie home minus a couple of teeth. She had her wisdom teeth pulled during her spring break from UNLV. I offered her tickets to Acapulco but no she says, “No daddy, I’d rather have my wisdom teeth pulled.”
What a great kid.
Nicholas on the other hand is in the dog house for a multitude of reasons. However he worked his hiney off yesterday around the house and I appreciate that. Need to get some yard work done today, hoping to get out myself and do some of it with him.
MY CAST IS GONE! Very good news for me. It was such a hassle and a little painful. I’m wearing some sort of floating walking cast boot thing now. They took the cast off and I couldn’t stand on my foot but most of that was due to the damaged ligaments. I can put weight on it now after a couple of days, but the Dr. told me to take it easy… keep the boot on and go w/ about 50% weight on the foot. Use it but don’t over use it.
Tira’s state testing is finally over and now she needs to catch back up on what she didn’t do (grades, lesson plans) for the last 2 weeks or so. But at least she’s in a better mood. She got mad at me Tuesday for getting up w/ my cast on and doing the dishes but Wednesday got mad at me because “no one cleans the knifes in this house but me” and on Thursday she got mad at me because I put dirty dishes in the sink. And it wasn’t that I put them in the sink, it’s that I put them on the left side of the sink.
Oh yeah, the frig broke and that cost me $230 to fix. My trailer needs tires and that’s going to cost me $500. I think i’m going to break down and buy me some glasses since mine have been gone a year. Nicholas is going to summer camp and that payment is due. I just bought a power steering hose for Tira’s car that I need to install next weekend and the parts along cost $230 (yes, the same as the frig… go figure) and the check engine light is on in my car and I’m pretty positive that’s going to cost me something I just don’t know what yet. Finally, I had to buy a blood pressure machine thing for $50. I don’t think it’s a problem, probably just a little high because I put the the dishes in the wrong sink.
I’m glad that week is over. 🙂
so what you are saying is this would be a bad time to ask for money? I was only going to ask for $230. ; )
