We arrived to the Lassen National Forest and are camping just outside the North entrance to the park. Unfortunately, it’s early and despite some great weather the road through the park is still closed. So we visited the information center at the North entrance, and visited the small visitor/information center in Old Station, CA, and called it a day.

The next day, our second here, we spent sightseeing and geocaching. We made a quick trip to Subway Cave just outside the park entrance and Scott and Penne went for a nice long walk while Tira napped.
All in all, a great day.
