Heading for ND, Fairchild AFB

We’re finally our way to ND to see Heather and Jeremiah and of course, THE GRAND-KIDS! The house process is happening, we did paperwork and gave the title company our earnest money, the inspection is done and went well, we signed papers to agree with the sale and to accept the condition of the house and to approve the inspection. So all we have to do I guess is wait? Fingers crossed!!!

Our first stop is Fairchild AFB. We’ve got time to kill and it’s a nice campground with power. Since the entire nation is in a heat wave (you know, except for the West coast that we just left) power is critical. Without power we have no A/C, and without A/C we both get grumpy. We’ll be in Spokane for 5 days and they’re calling for about 100° most days but I’ve got good 50amp service and dual Air Conditioners.

The agenda for Spokane? Sightseeing and of course a little geocaching. We tried to visit Michelle’s daughter, Monica, at her restaurant but we were just hot and lazy and never made it. Thanks for the invite though, Monica!

Our truck has wicked good A/C so one day we did a circle and picked up geocaches in 3 new counties in eastern Washington. The drive was wonderful, I’d forgotten how much I liked the area north of Spokane, it’s been 27 years or so since we’ve been up that way.
