We arrived after an uneventful drive in the heat, to Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, MT. We’ll be here a few days before continuing east towards ND. I expect we’ll do a little sight-seeing and of course some geocaching while in the area.
The weather finally cooled a little so we took off early from Fairchild and did about 7 hours across the ID panhandle, past Missoula to the Clearwater area, off of MT200. We arrived at our anticipated camp spot. It’s a small bit of BLM property, so it was free camping right on the edge of the snake River.
