Temps the last 4 days in Las Vegas: 113 – 112 – 112 – 113
as in one hundred and thirteen damn degrees.
We don’t do much in the valley at those temperatures. Saturday Scott went to Mt. Charleston and walked about 6 miles at 8,500′. Sunday, he drove towards Pahrump and drove/walked Lovell Canyon rd. (not to be confused w/ Lovell Wash, as mentioned in previous posts)
Tira spent the weekend in air conditioned luxury at some hotel downtown along with a few thousand other teachers from around the country, and attended an exciting lecture/lesson on diversified teaching.
Nicholas departed Sunday for 17 days touring the east coast, and exploring US history; his trip culminates in 6 days of Jamboree 2010, the 100th year anniversary of scouting in the US.
Bet he’s going to learn the difference between a dry heat and a humid heat. 🙂
Heather spent all weekend up on Mt. Charleston working.
Melanie spent most of it watching tv… I think.
I want Melanies job.
