Went for a hike last weekend, near Red Rock. Started out across the highway from the park in NV, outside of Las Vegas. Parked at the Cowboy Trails horse rental. Trail is called Rock Garden Trail, and is an easy walk of 2 miles or so. Horses and bicycles also use this trail area and so the trails are wide and easy to follow. Went to the dentist with Heather this morning, and took her on a hike afterwards. Great walk, going to talk Nicholas into doing this with the Boy Scout Troop…. was that much fun. A couple of pics. (Oh… 3.3 miles, 700ft elevation gain… Heather wanted me to mention that. 🙂
Today Nicholas and I went kayaking on Lake Mead. The weather was nice, sunny and mid-90’s. The wind picked up about noon but it was still fairly light. The canoe picture is really nice, check out the water?! Canoes Making (cooking) lunch on a rock
