Tira the Teacher

I am so excited for Tira!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tira is a teacher, tira is a teacher!  Hey, sing it with me in a chanting, teasing voice and it’s kind of cool.  Dance around your kitchen and sing it!  Tira is a teacher, Tira is a Teacher, TIRA is a TEACHER!!!!!

She was hired today… YES, TODAY!!!   To be the 3rd grade reading teacher.  Oh man that is so cool.  I mean it’s not that I like reading or anything, (which I do!), but she’s a teacher no matter what the subject!

Yes, she’s a third grade teacher.  That’s extra cool because I spent so much time in the third grade myself!  I mean me and Donna, there together, helping dad with his home work.  🙂

But to make a long story short, she starts on Tuesday of next week as the special reading teacher for the school.  She’s working at James S. Park-Edison Elementary school in north-east Las Vegas.  In fact, it’s not so far from the Air Force base where I work.

Hey Tira?  I love you and I’m so very proud of you!

Congratulations.

  1. Thank you so much sweetie for being proud of me. It means so much to me. I couldn’t have done this without you and the kids…I hope you know that.

    I love you too!!!!!!!!

  2. Congratulations Tira! At least now you can quit worrying about them calling. I know how it feels to wait and finally get a call, and I’m glad it’s over for you too. I know you’ll do great!

  3. Congrats! I’m so glad that you are allowing Scott to relive the memories of 3rd grade – us and dad. . .

    Very cool!

  4. Thank you Geri,
I had no idea you ever visited our site.
I think this is the first time you have left a comment.

  5. If I didn’t read this website I’ld never know anything. Congrats and welcome to the working world again. I know you’ll be great at this, just remeber all the stuff you pulled and then never take your eyes of them critters. Ha ha. Just remeber, the are small you are big and if they give you trouble just ask “You want to go to the principals office?” And the pray they don’t act like me and say ‘Yeah, shes okay to hang with’ . You know I love ya. Hope it is as fun as you can be.

  6. Ok now, let us keep the record straight, IT WAS THE 4TH GRADE WE WERE ALL TOGETHER. 4TH GRADE! Boy is your memory slipping. Congradulations Tira! They got the best of the best. We are all so very proud of you. Grandpa, the 4th grade king.
