Heather and Melanie drove to Girl Scout camp today. Yes, it’s the first time Heather has ever driven away from home. Sure she drives to school, but she comes home! Heather and Melanie went to Camp M.O.E in MN, near Thief River Falls. It’s about 2 hours (a little less) from home. Heather is a camp counselor and I think she gets paid for the weekend… Melanie is a CIT (counselor in training) and she doesn’t get paid. Or something. I’m sure it was good practice for me, for the future, when the kids grow up and drive away for good. But man it was hard watching my little girls drive away for the weekend!
