Melanie turned 16 on Monday. A lot going on this week, it wasn’t much of a birthday. Tira and Heather went to the base in the morning for new ID cards, I worked late, and Nicholas and I went to Boy Scouts Monday night. I think Melanie got a whopping 2 hours of time. We’ll make it up to her, but it wasn’t such a great day I think.

Ok, so everyone has to look at the close-up of Melanie blowing out her candles. She wanted lemon bars this year for a birthday cake. And Nicholas got a little carried away with the powdered sugar. So when Melanie blew out her candles….she also blew powdered sugar halfway across the dinning room and me. 🙂
the dinning room? is that a cross between dinner and diner? do you eat your dinner in a dining room and call it a dinning room?
or maybe that’s a noisy room… you know, can’t hear yourself think over the din?
