Southern Idaho and the Snake River (part 1)

We arrived at our anticipated camp spot. It’s a small bit of BLM property, so it was free camping right on the edge of the snake River. We are south east a little bit from Twin Falls Idaho, and it’s very pretty here.

The place where we came in was very narrow and not really intended for big trailers. It’s just used by cars and locals to go fishing mostly I guess.

So we managed to drag our monstrosity down the hill to the edge of the river, and found a flat spot to set up and it was beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. It rained the day before, it rained the day we were here, nobody else around but us.

Later that evening though, some fishermen started showing up and there were a few cars back and forth on the road and people fishing on the river near us. And this was a z Tuesday. We figured it was only going to get busier when the rain ended.

Sure enough, the next morning by 10:00 a.m. before we decided to leave, there had been a dozen cars and more up and down just checking out the river, fishing, a couple showed up just right close to us with kids and fishing poles and…..   Anyway, everyone was courteous to us over there camping, but it was clear this was a local hangout spot and we decided that we should leave.
